Bad News for El Paso, António Ribadeneira Hurt Sunday, August 20th , 2147 Whether he wants it or not, António Ribadeneira of the El Paso Thunderbirds will be getting some R & R -- rest and relaxation. The shortstop was hurt in today's Thunderbirds-Aztecs game while making a defensive play. Team officials announced after the game that Ribadeneira had suffered a damaged groin muscle (wba) and would be out of action for 3-4 weeks. Presently Ribadeneira is batting .309 with 137 hits and 15 home runs. He has knocked in 80 runs and scored 65 times. |
