Bonkski Hurls Shutout Sunday, August 20th , 2147 Kazimierz Bonkski was throwing strikes early and getting ahead in the count, his manager said after the Los Angeles Stars hurler tossed a 8-hit, complete game shutout against the Gitche Gumee Fitzies. "I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Bonkski. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings." Bonkski walked 1 and struck out 9 in the 6-0 victory.
