Uh... something's not right here. I know Mumbai improved but I'm only put at 6 games above .500? And there's no way Rome comes third in their division.
Haha yeah. I have fingers crossed that Stone and Karpat both get hurt... no way I can win the IBL otherwise.

Tell you what, let's not bother playing the season. It takes so much time. Let's just use these numbers. I'll see you in the Championship Series, São Paulo!
DH sucks. Not real baseball.
I don't know that there is anyway you are winning the IBL regardless of what happens. I think you might be 6th best in the IBL at this point. Not sure about that. I think I'm better than Barca and London, probably BF too (maybe?) Well, that's why we play the games I guess. Nobody would have guessed BF would win it last year, we'll have to see.
I know this isn't the point of the thread (and no DH isn't that big of a deal), but I don't understand why sending a pitcher to the plate and instructing him to keep the bat on his shoulders is real baseball while allowing an extra slugger to take his hacks isn't.
If you wanna hit, then play the field. That's the design of the game. The fact that people figured out over time that one position on the field could be far more valuable for their defensive contribution than their offensive doesn't mean that position shouldn't have to hit.I generally agree and I'm still annoyed the Astros got forced into the AL.
Why only one DH? Do you not realize how much better leaguewide defense and offense could be if baseball just went ahead and allowed full platoon substitutions? Either do it or don't do it, making an exception for one guy out of nine is just silly.

No, I'm serious about full platoon. If you're going to do it then DO IT. Imagine Andrelton Simmons being a slightly above average fielder. Imagine never having to watch a defensive specialist catcher hit. Why do I want to watch Nelson Cruz try to make a catch to win the World Series when I can watch a defensive stud do it instead? You actually agree with me. If original design isn't going to be honored so that it can be more fun for fans then don't half-ass it.
I’m not sure “if you want to hit then play the field” is really the design of the game, but regardless, I don’t think the initial design is necessarily relevant anymore. Back in the day they didn’t use batting helmets or let people of color play either. Times change and so does the game.
And to be completely honest, your proposed design of “let the best people play what they’re best at at all times” kind of sounds like a hell of a lot of fun. Baseball is a game. I watch because it’s fun. Watching Clayton Kershaw bat .100 and bunt in half of his plate appearances isn’t fun, especially when I could be watching an extra plate appearance from Austin Barnes or Logan Forsythe or whoever.
I get that you feel there’s some sort of integrity to the game that you lose by allowing a DH, but more legitimate plate appearances and less opportunities for pitchers to get injured only sounds like a plus to me. Now, obviously we can’t really see that fun in a simulation, so in the case of OOTP and the WBA it hardly matters to me, but as far as the MLB goes, I’m a full supporter of league-wide DH.
Forgot to add that I would love a full platoon option in OOTP, as well. Think about resource allocation if those were the rules.Lol so THAT'S why I got bid up on him...
This guy recently signed by Mumbai would have been a bidding war. As it is I let him go once Mumbai beat my offer.
Carlos Rodríguez
I was bidding on him purely to use as a defensive sub during 40-man expansion.
Don't see you online in Slack. Your export has an issue (it sends a direct message automatically).Slack gave me the message, too. I think I fixed it in time.
