WBA-A News: The Offseason Begins

The last cheers for the 2151 WBA-A champions still hang in the air as the baseball season has come to a close. Lockers sit empty, while fans and media reflect on the season just concluded. The players are already relaxing, taking advantage of this opportunity to heal some of the aches and pains from the long season.
Meanwhile, general managers and team staff take stock of their teams and plot roster moves. Scouts are busier than ever, hoping to find that hidden gem that will boost their own fortunes as well as their team's. In a few months, the new landscape of WBA Single A will become apparent, as the preseason gets under way.

San Pedro Stone Faces Win A World Series

The San Pedro Stone Faces are champions, today and forever. The Stone Faces topped the Brisbane Bolides 7-4 at The Northern Territory Fields today to claim the A World Series crown.
"Nobody can take this away from us, not ever," said series MVP and right fielder Patrick Steggall after his club had sealed the victory. "We worked hard and we accomplished our goal."
The atmosphere was electric as the newly-crowned champs stormed the field at the conclusion of the game. Fans cheered, gloves flew in the air, high fives and hugs were the order of the day.
"From day one of spring training, I could see it in their eyes," said San Pedro manager . "The players had that look of intensity, of hunger, of a desire to accomplish something great, and today they did that. They're champions of the world."
The Stone Faces took the series 4-3. The new titleholders completed the regular season with a first-place finish in the Americas Baseball League Latin American Division and a 88-44 record.
