Caron in Command, No-Hits Emperors
Thursday, June 13th , 2148
In a dominant outing, Enzo Caron of the Bielefeld Foxes totally silenced the bats of the Guangzhou Emperors, finishing with a no-hitter.
In the 4-0 victory, Caron faced only 28 batters, surrendered no hits, had 4 strikeouts and no walks.
"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Bielefeld manager said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."
Commenting on the defeat, losing manager had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game.
"The Foxes had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Caron pitched a heck of a ballgame."
Up to now Caron has recorded a record of 6-3. In 12 starts he has fanned 61 batters in 79.1 innings with a 1.82 ERA.
