ABL-A Awards Player of the Week Monday, May 24th , 2145 Goiania fans have something to crow about today as Goiania center fielder Joko Mainaky nabbed the Americas Baseball League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Mainaky. He posted a .571 average (12-for-21) this past week with no home runs, 5 RBIs, and 6 runs scored. On the year Mainaky has hit .291 with no home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 23 runs. |
