Bolides Get No Resistance from Lions in 10-0 Beat-Down Saturday, June 12th , 2145 The bats were ice cold today for the Kristiansand Lions at Zygons Ballpark. Brisbane Bolides starter Dave Dennis kept the Lions cold all day, shutting them out in a 10-0 victory. In a fine outing, the 26-year-old hurler allowed 3 hits while striking out 5 and walking 1. "I'm not quite sure what was different today," Dennis admitted later. "I didn't feel like I was doing anything differently, but the results speak for themselves." So far this year Dennis has made 13 starts, tossed 89.1 innings, struck out 78 batters and walked 14. His record is 6-5 with a 3.12 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .232 batting average. |
