Toucans Move on to League Championship Series Monday, September 13th , 2151 The Goiania Toucans and Galveston Jubilee put on a classic Divisional Series that was in question until the final game. In the end, Goiania won the deciding contest by a score of 4-0, to take the series 3-2. "It doesn't get much tighter than that. To win a series in the last game is a thrill," said Katon Suharto, who earned series MVP honors for Goiania. "Our guys are breathing a little easier now." For the series, Suharto hit .350 with a .381 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 1 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Goiania Toucans will play against the San Pedro Stone Faces in the next round. San Pedro won their series against the Traverse City Cherries 3 games to 2. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes. |
