Stars Langah Tames Manaus Tuesday, August 16th , 2140 A masterful pitching performance carried the Long Beach Stars to a 6-0 victory over Manaus. Liaqat Langah held the Jaguars scoreless in a complete-game effort. He permitted 7 hits, had 8 strikeouts and allowed 2 walks. "Langah was sharp," Jaguars manager said later. "We never did figure him out." For the season Langah has logged 13 wins and 6 losses and struck out 117 batters in 196.2 innings while compiling a 1.92 ERA. |
