Rio De Janeiro trade block
« on: February 11, 2016, 09:49:10 PM »
New block as of 13 June 2016.

I'm in full sell mode because my team is awful and I'm losing a couple good players to free agency anyways. Everyone's available, but here's a run-down on my top-rated players (all in the ML):

SP Jose Ramirez http://www.worldbaseballassociation.com/reports/news/html/players/player_191.html
The world's worst 5-star pitcher.  Leads starters in K/9 (and has done so before), but to cancel it out he also leads them in HR/9.  3 years left on his contract. He probably steals candy from babies.  Yes, I am bitter.

CL Bereket Ainran http://www.worldbaseballassociation.com/reports/news/html/players/player_1912.html
Same as Jose Ramirez, but somehow gives up significantly more home runs. These guys have to turn it around eventually, right?

CF John Parker http://www.worldbaseballassociation.com/reports/news/html/players/player_116.html
This guy is actually good.  Great defense, steals bases, bats ~.300. Ideal leadoff hitter.  Last year of his contract.

1B Ze Vargas http://www.worldbaseballassociation.com/reports/news/html/players/player_35.html
Reliable 1B. Gets lots of HRs and BBs. Signed for 3 years in the offseason because I thought my team was going to be better than last year.

2B Ricardo Ramirez http://www.worldbaseballassociation.com/reports/news/html/players/player_314.html
Career High OBP guy, but on the decline.  Very friendly contract next year, should he come anywhere close to his old form.

Guys on the the last year of their contracts that you might want to look at:
RF Jesus Bautista--Led the league in home runs last year, but starting extremely slowly this year. Gamble.
SP Luis Vazquez--Still on his rookie contract.  Good for an ERA of ~4.00.

Looking for young guys.  Willing to do prospect swapping if that's what you want.  Pretty much anyone in my organization is available except for 3B Ernesto Colon (I've grown emotionally attached to him, as he was my first signing upon joining the league :-) )

Can't afford any of these guys but I like your commentary.  Insightful and witty.  Fun to read.

I believe your team is snakebitten.  You've got a lot of 4-star and 5-star guys who clearly aren't playing up to their potential.  Maybe they'll turn it around in the second half.
